For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV.
CD4 is primarily expressed in T helper cells, but also in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 is detected in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of brain and gut.
It plays a key role in T-cell activation via interaction with the T-cell receptor complex and Lck kinase, and may mediate neuronal damage in infectious or immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
