Target Information
Required for translocation of GLUT4 to the plasma membrane in response to insulin signaling. Coordinates membrane tubulation with actin cytoskeleton reorganization during endocytosis. Binds to lipids such as phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylserine, promoting membrane invagination and tubule formation. Also promotes CDC42-induced actin polymerization via WASL/N-WASP activation of the Arp2/3 complex. Involved in podosome formation and lysosomal retention of FASLG/FASL.
