This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Mouse MCPT-1/MCP-1.
Target Information
MCPT-1 is the only chymase expressed by intestinal mucosal mast cells, which are found in the intestinal epithelium. Although it is expressed constitutively and detectable in the sera of normal mice, intestinal parasites cause systemic levels to increase dramatically within two days and peak at two weeks following infection.
It plays an important role in host defense against intestinal parasites, as mice deficient in MCPT-1 display delayed responses upon infection. Elevated MCPT-1 levels are also observed during intestinal allergic hypersensitivity reactions. The mechanism of its action is not fully understood, but it is believed to increase intestinal permeability similarly to rMCPT-II, possibly by cleaving proteins at tight junctions between cells.
