This antibody detects endogenous levels of CD79A only when phosphorylated at Tyr182.
Target Information
CD79a is a disulphide-linked heterodimer that includes the B29 (CD79b) polypeptide. It functions as part of the B lymphocyte antigen receptor complex, associated with Ig-alpha and Ig-beta, which are essential for B-cell receptor expression and function.
CD79a expression begins at the pre-B cell stage and continues until the plasma cell stage, where it is found intracellularly. It is present in most precursor B-cell type acute leukemias, B-cell lines, B-cell lymphomas, and some myelomas, but absent in myeloid or T-cell lines.
Diseases associated with CD79a include Agammaglobulinemia 3 and Agammaglobulinemia, Non-Bruton type.
