They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, and ensuring batch-to-batch consistency.

Target Information

IkB-alpha is a 40 kDa protein that inhibits NF-kappaB activity through protein-protein interactions in the cytosol.
Binding of IkB-alpha masks the nuclear localization sequence of NF-kappaB, preventing its nuclear translocation.
Various stimuli—including TNF-alpha, IL-1 beta, chemokines, PMA, growth factors, LPS, UV irradiation, viral infection, and other stresses—activate NF-kappaB by inducing degradation of IkB-alpha.
In humans, the gene is located on chromosome 14q.
Phosphorylation of IkB on serine residues 32 and 36 by IkB kinase alpha (IKK alpha) triggers degradation and NF-kappaB activation.
IKK alpha, along with IKK beta and IKK gamma, forms the IKK complex essential for NF-kappaB signaling.
NIK (NF-kappaB inducing kinase) regulates IKK alpha activity in response to TNF and IL-1.
