Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CETN3 gene encodes a protein containing four EF-hand calcium-binding domains, belonging to the centrin protein family. Centrins are conserved proteins similar to the CDC31 protein of S. cerevisiae, which is localized at the centrosome and plays a key role in centrosome duplication and separation.
Multiple centrin-like proteins have been identified in human and mammalian cells, some associated with centrosome fractions. CETN3 is one of the most abundant centrins at the centrosome, suggesting a similar role to its yeast counterpart. Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms of this gene.
