Description:
The 1-111A monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse B7-H1 (PD-L1), a member of the B7 family with a predicted molecular weight of ~40 kDa. PD-L1 is expressed on T, B, NK, and dendritic cells and acts as a ligand for PD-1. Interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1 leads to inhibition of T and B cell responses. Preliminary testing suggests that 1-111A and MIH5 (Product #14-5982) cross-block each other.

The 1-111A antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.5 µg per test (in 100 µL final volume). Optimal titration is advised for specific assay conditions. Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds to PD-1, a receptor known to negatively regulate T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. PD-L1 engagement decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and is upregulated by IFN-gamma, suggesting its role in tumor immune evasion.
