Specificity: This antibody recognises IFN-gammaRalpha, a class II cytokine receptor family member that serves as an IFN-gamma-binding chain associated with IFN-gamma Beta.
Target Information
The IFNGR1 gene encodes the ligand-binding chain (alpha) of the gamma interferon receptor. Human interferon-gamma receptor is a heterodimer of IFNGR1 and IFNGR2. Genetic variation in IFNGR1 is associated with susceptibility to Helicobacter pylori infection. Defects in IFNGR1 can cause mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease, also known as familial disseminated atypical mycobacterial infection.
