This antibody detects endogenous levels of NMDAR1 only when phosphorylated at Serine 897.
Target Information
NMDAR1 encodes a protein that is a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors, members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily. These receptors are heteromeric protein complexes forming ligand-gated ion channels. The subunits play a key role in synaptic plasticity, which underlies memory and learning. Cell-specific factors regulate expression of different isoforms, contributing to subunit functional diversity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
