Antibody detects endogenous levels of CtBP1 only when phosphorylated at Serine 422.


Target Information

This gene encodes a protein that binds to the C-terminus of adenovirus E1A proteins. This phosphoprotein acts as a transcriptional repressor and may play a role in cellular proliferation. CtBP1 and CtBP2 can dimerize and interact with polycomb group protein complexes involved in gene expression regulation during development. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants.
