PA1-9544 detects IFNAR2 in human samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant IFNAR2 corresponding to the chromosome 21 gene (Human).

Target Information

Type I interferons (IFN-α and IFN-β) are structurally and functionally related proteins induced by viruses or double-stranded RNA.
They confer antiviral states in cells and bind to a common receptor, IFN-α/βR, which has two alternatively spliced transcripts: IFN-α/βRα (IFN-α/βR1) and IFN-α/βRβ (IFN-α/βR2).
These subunits are involved in signal transduction and ligand binding.
In contrast, IFN-γ binds to a distinct receptor, IFN-γR.
