For neutralization, use at a concentration of 7–8 µg/mL to achieve half of the neutralizing dose (ND50) of a 100.0 ng/mL concentration.
Target Information
Eotaxin 2 belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are characterized by two adjacent cysteines.
The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes, minimal activity on neutrophils, and no activity on monocytes or activated T lymphocytes.
This protein is also a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line.
