Product Specific Information

The SJ25C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells throughout development, excluding plasma cells. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, contributing to BCR signaling and B cell proliferation.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood cells.
Use at 5 µL (0.8 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains with NovaFluor dyes.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
  • For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 serves as a functional regulator of B cell proliferation and is expressed in all B cell precursor leukemias. It acts as a coreceptor for the BCR, lowering the threshold for antigen receptor-dependent stimulation and amplifying signaling. Mutations lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression results in B cell hyperactivity.
