Target Information
M6PR (mannose-6-phosphate receptor) recognizes mannose-6-phosphate groups on lysosomal enzymes. It forms homodimers or homotetramers for intracellular targeting and export of newly synthesized lysosomal enzymes. This receptor is an integral membrane protein localized to the trans-Golgi reticulum, endosomes, and plasma membrane.
