  • In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant human PD-L2 is observed.
  • Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
  • Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.

Target Information

Programmed death-ligand 2 (PD-L2), also known as B7-DC, belongs to the B7 ligand family within the immunoglobulin superfamily. It acts as a ligand for programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), similar to PD-L1. PD-L2 is primarily expressed in dendritic cells but can be induced in various immune and non-immune cells depending on the microenvironment. Expression is upregulated by cytokines such as IL-4, TNF-α, and IFN-γ.
PD-L2 exhibits a 2–6 times higher affinity to PD-1 compared to PD-L1 and functions as an inhibitory immune checkpoint molecule, modulating T cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine secretion.
Additionally, PD-L2 interacts with a second receptor, repulsive guidance molecule b (RGMb), which plays a role in respiratory tolerance through BMP and neogenin signaling pathways.
