Product Specific Information

  • For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Cytochrome C is an electron transport protein located in the mitochondrial intermembrane space, essential for oxidative phosphorylation and ATP production. Upon apoptotic stimuli, cytochrome C is released into the cytosol, where it binds apoptotic protease activating factor, leading to activation of procaspase-9 and subsequently caspase-3, a key effector of apoptosis.
