Target Information
The trimeric complex of CDK7, cyclin H, and MNAT1 functions as a Cdk-activating kinase (CAK). It is an essential component of transcription factor TFIIH, involved in transcription initiation and DNA repair. This complex links transcription regulation and the cell cycle and plays a role in double-strand break repair associated with BRCA1. CDK7 may be a target of germline cancer-inducing mutations.
