This antibody recognizes mouse CD276 (B7-H3), a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules. It functions as both a positive and negative regulator of T-cell-mediated immune responses. CD276 is highly expressed in bone during embryogenesis and can be induced on dendritic cells and monocytes by inflammatory cytokines.
Target Information
CD276 (B7-H3) is a type I transmembrane protein that induces proliferation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, enhances cytotoxic T cell generation, and stimulates interferon gamma production. Its expression is inducible by inflammatory cytokines on dendritic cells and monocytes, and it is also expressed in various peripheral tissues such as heart, kidney, testis, and colon. In humans, CD276 has two isoforms resulting from gene duplication and differential splicing. It has therapeutic potential in modulating immune responses to cancer, particularly with anti-angiogenic therapy.
