Target Information
NMDAR2B는 N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) 계열의 이온성 글루탐산 수용체의 구성원입니다. NMDA 수용체는 시냅스 전달 효율을 증가시키는 장기 강화(long-term potentiation)에 관여하며, 기억과 학습의 기초가 되는 과정에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 신경 발달 및 Alzheimer’s Disease, epilepsy, 허혈성 신경세포 사멸 등의 중추신경계 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
NR2B 서브유닛의 과발현은 학습 및 기억 능력 증가와 관련이 있으며, 노화된 기억 손상 동물에서는 NR2B 발현 감소가 관찰됩니다. Tyr1472의 인산화는 시냅스에서 NMDA 수용체의 발현 증가를 유도하여 시냅스 가소성에 기여할 수 있습니다. NMDAR2B는 NR1, NR2, NR3로 구성된 7개의 유전적으로 암호화된 서브유닛으로 이루어진 헤테로트리머입니다. NMDAR2B 기능 이상은 간질성 뇌병증 및 정신지체 관련 질환과 연관되어 있습니다.
