Target Information
Transforming growth factor beta 3 (TGF beta 3)는 TGF beta 1 및 beta 2와 함께 transforming growth factor 패밀리에 속하는 세 번째 구성원입니다. 이 사이토카인은 bioactive C-terminal domain과 latency associated protein (LAP)이라 불리는 N-terminal domain이 결합된 전구체 형태로 분비됩니다. LAP 절단 후 생성되는 성숙 단백질은 이황화 결합된 호모다이머로 작용합니다.
TGF beta 3는 종 간 높은 보존성을 보이며, Mouse와 Human 간 100% 서열 상동성을 가집니다. 대부분의 세포 유형에서 발현될 수 있으며, B세포 및 T세포의 활성 억제, 조직 치유 매개, 종양 증식 억제 등 다양한 생리적 기능을 수행합니다. 또한 CD4⁺CD25⁺ T세포 확장을 촉진하여 자가면역 억제에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
