Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The MT-ATP6 gene encodes a protein essential for normal mitochondrial function. Mitochondria produce energy through oxidative phosphorylation, generating adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy source of the cell. The MT-ATP6 protein forms part of ATP synthase (complex V), which catalyzes the conversion of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to ATP using energy derived from proton flow across the mitochondrial membrane.
