Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The second messenger cyclic AMP (cAMP) mediates diverse cellular responses to external signals such as proliferation, ion transport, regulation of metabolism, and gene transcription by activation of the cAMP-dependent protein kinase (cAPK or PKA).
Activation of PKA occurs when cAMP binds to the two regulatory subunits of the tetrameric PKA holoenzyme, resulting in release of active catalytic subunits. Three catalytic (C) subunits have been identified, each representing specific gene products.
Elevation of cAMP levels leads to translocation of PKA to the nucleus, where it phosphorylates the transcription factor CREB (cAMP response element binding protein) at serine 133. This phosphorylation promotes TFIIB binding to TBP1, linking phospho-CREB to the RNA polymerase II transcription initiation complex.
