Target Information
SMAD2 (MADH2, MAD2)는 세포 증식, 세포사, 분화 등의 다양한 세포 과정을 조절하는 단백질입니다. SMAD2는 TGF-β 수용체와 상호작용하여 신호 전달을 매개하며, 핵 내로 이동하여 전사 억제 복합체를 형성합니다. ERK1에 의한 Thr8의 인산화는 SMAD2의 전사 활성화를 증가시키며, 칼모듈린에 의해 음성 조절됩니다. TGF-β 신호에 반응하여 SMAD2는 수용체에 의해 인산화되고, SARA로부터 분리되어 SMAD4와 결합합니다. SMAD4와의 결합은 핵으로의 이동과 표적 유전자 프로모터 결합에 필수적입니다. 또한 activin type 1 receptor kinase에 의해 인산화되어 activin 신호를 매개할 수 있습니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변형체가 보고되었습니다.
