Target Information
PCNA (polymerase delta auxiliary protein)는 DNA 복제에 필수적인 단백질로, DNA excision 및 mismatch repair 경로에 관여합니다. CDK inhibitor p21, endonucleases Fen1 및 XPG, DNA methyltransferase (MCMT)와 결합합니다.
PCNA는 세포 증식 잠재력을 가진 세포를 식별하는 마커로, 종양 조직의 증식 상태 평가에 유용합니다. G1 및 S phase에서 발현되며, DNA polymerase delta의 보조인자로 작용하여 DNA 복제 중 leading strand 합성 효율을 높입니다.
DNA 손상 시 RAD6 의존적 수리 경로에서 ubiquitination을 통해 기능하며, 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사 변이가 보고되었습니다. 또한 PCNA 유사유전자가 염색체 4와 X 염색체에서 발견되었습니다.
