Product Specific Information

The MAR-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon Receptor I alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. FcεRIα is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is up-regulated by the presence of IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits containing ITAM motifs, playing a key role in IgE-mediated allergic reactions.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on MC/9 mouse mast cell line at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Super Bright 436 is excited with the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

FceR1 (FcεRIα) is a subunit of the high-affinity receptor for IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex (α, β, and two γ subunits). The receptor triggers allergic responses by coupling allergen-bound IgE with mast cells, leading to histamine and mediator release. This mechanism underlies allergic conditions such as hay fever and asthma.
