Target Information
CDK17 (cyclin Y serine/threonine kinase), also known as PCTAIRE2, belongs to the cdc2/cdkx subfamily of kinases. CDK17/cyclin Y shows similarity to a rat protein believed to play a role in terminally differentiated neurons. The identification of a large family of cdc2-related kinases suggests potential combinatorial regulation of the cell cycle with the expanding family of cyclins.
