Adenosine receptors (A1-R, A2A-R, A2B-R, A3-R) are G protein-coupled membrane proteins.
- A1-R: Mediates ureagenesis in a calcium-dependent manner.
- A2A-R: Mediates coronary vasodilation.
- A2B-R: Inhibits collagen and total protein synthesis in certain cells.
- A3-R: Inhibits TNF alpha induction and blocks CD14 receptor signal transduction.
