Target Information
IKBKE (IKK epsilon)는 nuclear factor-kappa-B(NF-κB)의 활성화 인자로 작용합니다. IKBKE의 과발현은 유방암 세포에서 관찰되며, 억제 시 세포 사멸을 유도합니다. NF-κB는 면역 및 염증 반응 중 유전자 발현의 핵심 전사 인자로, 다양한 세포 외 자극에 반응하여 여러 유전자의 발현을 조절합니다.
IKK 복합체는 IKK-α, IKK-β, IKK-γ로 구성되며, 최근 IKK-ι/IKK-i라는 새로운 분자가 추가로 확인되었습니다. IKK epsilon은 PMA 및 T 세포 수용체에 의한 NF-κB 활성화에는 필수적이지만 TNF-α 및 IL-1에 의한 활성화에는 필요하지 않습니다. 또한 IKK-ι/IKK-i는 다양한 조직에서 발현되며 TNF-α, IL-1, LPS에 의해 유도됩니다.
