B-lymphoid tyrosine kinase (BLK) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the Src family. It plays an important role in B-cell activation. Protein kinases transfer phosphate groups from ATP to substrate proteins, mediating signal transduction and regulating cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle, cytoskeletal rearrangement, movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
