Description:
The 11H3 antibody reacts with human TACI (tumor necrosis factor receptor 13B). TACI, like BCMA, binds BAFF and APRIL. These interactions regulate humoral immune responses, activate NF-κB and c-Jun N-terminal kinase, and are involved in B cell–associated autoimmune diseases. TACI expression is predominant in B cells and correlates with BLyS binding. The 11H3 clone does not block BAFF/BLyS binding to TACI.

• Flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:

• Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells.
• Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test.
• A test is defined as the amount of antibody to stain a sample in 100 µL total volume.
• Cell number per test: 10⁵–10⁸ cells (empirical determination recommended).

Members of the TNF superfamily regulate immune responses and induce apoptosis. BAFF (also known as BLyS/TALL-1/THANK/zTNF4) and APRIL (TALL-2) are novel TNF family members.

• BAFF: Induces B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin secretion.
• APRIL: Regulates both immunological and non-immunological cell growth.
• Receptors: BCMA, TACI, and BAFF-R.
  TACI binds both BAFF and APRIL, regulating humoral immune responses and being implicated in B cell–related autoimmune diseases.
