This Mags.21F7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and mouse promyelocytic leukemia zinc finger (PLZF), a member of the BTB-POZ family of transcription factors. PLZF expression varies between species and is involved in the development and function of NKT cells, NK cells, and T cell subsets. It acts as a transcriptional repressor and has roles in cellular quiescence and growth suppression. PLZF can inhibit gene expression induced by retinoic acid receptor.
Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse lymph node cells using the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00). Recommended ≤ 0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best performance.

Target Information
The PLZF gene encodes a zinc finger transcription factor belonging to the Krueppel C2H2-type family. It contains nine zinc finger domains, localizes to the nucleus, and interacts with histone deacetylase. Aberrant rearrangements of this gene are associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Alternate splice variants have been characterized.
