This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
RBP4 belongs to the lipocalin family and serves as the specific carrier for retinol in the blood, delivering it from liver stores to peripheral tissues. In plasma, the RBP-retinol complex interacts with transthyretin to prevent loss by filtration through kidney glomeruli. Vitamin A deficiency blocks secretion of the binding protein post-translationally, leading to defective retinol delivery to epidermal cells.
