Product Specific Information
- In hemagglutination tests, MA1-80068 reacts with Kp(a-b+) but not Kp(a+b-).
- This antibody agglutinates Kp(a+b-c+) and Kp(a-b-c+) erythrocytes but does not react with Ko erythrocytes.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
- Mouse anti-Human CD238 antibody, clone BRIC203, recognizes human CD238 (Kell blood group antigen Kpbc).
- Kell antigens are carried on the ~93 kDa erythrocyte membrane glycoprotein.
Target Information
The Kell gene encodes a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that represents the highly polymorphic Kell blood group antigen.
This glycoprotein forms a disulfide bond with the XK membrane protein carrying the Kx antigen.
It shares sequence and structural similarity with neprilysin (M13) family zinc endopeptidases.
