Product Specific Information

This 1RNM44N monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse CD170 (Siglec F), a cell surface lectin from the Ig superfamily that binds sialic acid-containing glycoconjugates. Siglec F is mainly expressed on eosinophils and alveolar macrophages, with lower expression on immature myelomonocytic cells. Mouse Siglec F is a functional ortholog of human Siglec 8 but is not expressed on mast cells.

This antibody recognizes a formaldehyde-fixed epitope.

Applications Reported:
Flow cytometric analysis and immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections.

• Flow Cytometry: ≤ 0.06 µg/test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Target Information

SIGLEC5 is a sialic acid-binding adhesion molecule expressed by monocytic/myeloid lineage cells. It binds both α2,3-linked and α2,6-linked sialic acid. Expression is high in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, and bone marrow, and lower in lymph node, lung, appendix, placenta, pancreas, and thymus. It is found in monocytes and neutrophils but absent from leukemic cell lines of early myelomonocytic differentiation.
