The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues E(180)TTQLTADSHPSYHTDGFN(198) of rat CSP.

Target Information
Cysteine string protein alpha (CSPα) is a synaptic vesicle protein containing a DNA-J domain characteristic of Hsp40 chaperones.
CSP proteins are membrane-bound and primarily associated with nerve endings and synaptic vesicles in the brain.
They play an important role in presynaptic function and may be involved in calcium-dependent neurotransmitter release.
CSP proteins may act as presynaptic chaperones that assist in maintaining synaptic function.
