Target Information

The protein encoded by the CD70 gene is a cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family.
It acts as a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27 and is expressed on activated T and B lymphocytes, but not on resting cells.
Functions include:

• Induction of proliferation in costimulated T cells
• Enhancement of cytolytic T cell generation
• Contribution to T cell activation
• Regulation of B-cell activation, NK cell cytotoxicity, and immunoglobulin synthesis
