Product Specific Information
Specific for endogenous levels of the ~130 kDa GluR1 protein phosphorylated at Ser724. Immunolabeling is completely eliminated by treatment with lambda-phosphatase.
Target Information
ERN1 (endoplasmic reticulum to nucleus signaling 1) is a serine/threonine kinase and endoribonuclease that mediates ER stress signaling. It is a human homologue of the yeast Ire1 gene product and plays a critical role in ER stress response by splicing XBP1 mRNA to activate unfolded protein response transcription. IRE1 is essential for cell viability under stress conditions that cause unfolded protein accumulation in the ER. Null mutants are viable under normal conditions but undergo apoptosis under ER stress.
