Target Information
Connexin-36 (CX36) is a member of the connexin gene family predominantly expressed in mammalian neurons. Connexins form hexameric complexes (connexons) that create gap junction intercellular channels. Mutations in connexin genes can lead to functional and developmental abnormalities.
