Target Information
ATG14 (Autophagy related protein homolog 14)는 인간 14번 염색체에 위치한 ATG14 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다.
ATG14L 또는 BARKOR(Beclin 1-associated autophagy-related key regulator)로도 알려져 있습니다.
자가포식(autophagy)은 세포 내 잘못 접힌 단백질과 손상된 소기관을 재활용하는 진화적으로 보존된 과정입니다.
이 과정은 영양 스트레스에 대한 세포 반응으로 유도되며, 자가포식소체 형성, 리소좀과의 융합, 자가포식리소좀 형성을 포함합니다.
Class III PI3-Kinase(Vps34)와 Beclin 1은 ATG14(type 1) 또는 UVRAG(type 2)를 포함하는 복합체를 형성하며, Atg14는 type 1 복합체를 preautophagosomal structure(PAS)로 유도하여 자가포식소체 형성 개시에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
