Target Information
Decapping protein 2 (DCP2) is the major mRNA decapping enzyme involved in eukaryotic mRNA degradation. It belongs to the Nudix hydrolases superfamily, which catalyzes hydrolysis of nucleoside diphosphate substrates. DCP2 is expressed in various tissues, with highest levels in testis and brain.
