Product Specific Information

MA5-15385 targets EphB1 in indirect ELISA, IHC, and WB applications, showing reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of EphB1 (aa19–133) expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15385 detects EphB1, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 110 kDa.

Target Information

EPHB1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Eph family kinases are involved in biological processes such as nervous system development, angiogenesis, and synapse formation.
EphB1 and related family members are type I transmembrane proteins with immunoglobulin, fibronectin type III, and cysteine-rich domains, as well as a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain upstream of a SAM domain.
EphB family proteins bind ephrin-B class ligands, which are also transmembrane proteins capable of bidirectional signaling.
EphB1 is predominantly expressed in developing neural structures and vascular epithelium. Upon binding ephrin-B1, it regulates cell attachment and assembly.
Members of this family are implicated in neuronal and vascular cell targeting.
