Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Superior specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaM kinases) form a subfamily of serine/threonine kinases including CaMKI, CaMKII, and CaMKIV.
CaMKII is an ubiquitously expressed kinase activated by Ca2+/calmodulin binding and autophosphorylation. It regulates cell cycle and transcription, contributes to dendritic spine and synapse formation, neuronal plasticity, and sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ transport in skeletal muscle.
In neurons, CaMKII plays a structural role in actin cytoskeleton reorganization during plasticity by binding and bundling actin filaments independently of kinase activity.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
