MAP2K5 (MEK5) serine/threonine kinase (mitogen-activated protein kinase 5) 또는 MEK5는 MAP kinase family에 속하는 이중 특이성 단백질 키나아제로, MAPK7/ERK5를 활성화시킵니다. MAP2K5는 MAP3K3/MEKK3 및 atypical protein kinase C isoforms (aPKCs)에 의해 인산화 및 활성화될 수 있습니다. MAP2K5 신호 경로는 성장 인자 자극에 따른 세포 증식 및 근육 세포 분화에 관여하며, MAP2K5 promoter 내 rs3743354 다형성은 대장암 발생 위험에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다.
