Antibody detects endogenous levels of MEK5 only when phosphorylated at Ser311.
Target Information
MAP2K5 (MEK5) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the MAP kinase family, which specifically interacts with and activates MAPK7/ERK5. MAP2K5 can be phosphorylated and activated by MAP3K3/MEKK3 and atypical protein kinase C isoforms (aPKCs). This signaling cascade is involved in growth factor–stimulated cell proliferation and muscle cell differentiation. The rs3743354 polymorphism in the MAP2K5 promoter may affect colorectal cancer (CRC) risk.
