Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Heregulin beta-1. Anti-Human Heregulin beta-1-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human Heregulin beta-1 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Heregulin beta-1 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human Heregulin beta-1 (500-P288Bt) as a detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human Heregulin beta-1.

Western Blot:
To detect Human Heregulin beta-1 by Western blot, use this antibody at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human Heregulin beta-1 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Direct ligand for ERBB3 and ERBB4 tyrosine kinase receptors. Concomitantly recruits ERBB1 and ERBB2 coreceptors, resulting in ligand-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation and activation of the ERBB receptors.
The multiple isoforms perform diverse functions such as:

• Inducing growth and differentiation of epithelial, glial, neuronal, and skeletal muscle cells
• Inducing expression of acetylcholine receptor during neuromuscular junction formation
• Stimulating lobuloalveolar budding and milk production in the mammary gland
• Inducing differentiation of mammary tumor cells
• Promoting Schwann cell proliferation
• Contributing to myocardium development, such as trabeculation of the developing heart
• Isoform 10 may play a role in motor and sensory neuron development
