Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Heregulin beta-1. Anti-Human Heregulin beta-1-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Heregulin-beta1 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Heregulin-beta1 (500-P288) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human Heregulin-beta1.
Western Blot:
To detect Human Heregulin-beta1 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human Heregulin-beta1 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information
Direct ligand for ERBB3 and ERBB4 tyrosine kinase receptors. Concomitantly recruits ERBB1 and ERBB2 coreceptors, resulting in ligand-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation and activation of the ERBB receptors.
Multiple isoforms perform diverse functions such as:
- Inducing growth and differentiation of epithelial, glial, neuronal, and skeletal muscle cells
- Inducing expression of acetylcholine receptor in synaptic vesicles during neuromuscular junction formation
- Stimulating lobuloalveolar budding and milk production in the mammary gland
- Inducing differentiation of mammary tumor cells
- Stimulating Schwann cell proliferation
- Implicated in myocardium development such as trabeculation of the developing heart
Isoform 10 may play a role in motor and sensory neuron development.
