For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

The CDKN2A gene produces multiple transcript variants differing in their first exons. At least three alternatively spliced variants encode distinct proteins, two of which act as inhibitors of CDK4 kinase. The third variant, containing an alternate first exon located 20 Kb upstream, encodes the ARF protein that stabilizes tumor suppressor p53 by interacting with MDM2, preventing p53 degradation.
Despite structural differences, the CDK inhibitor isoforms and ARF protein share a common role in regulating cell cycle G1 progression.
This gene is frequently mutated or deleted in various tumors and is recognized as an important tumor suppressor gene.
