Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
cAMP is a signaling molecule vital for various cellular functions. It activates cAMP-dependent protein kinase, which phosphorylates target proteins. The inactive holoenzyme consists of two regulatory and two catalytic subunits. Upon cAMP binding, the holoenzyme dissociates into regulatory dimers and catalytic monomers.
The encoded PRKAR2B protein is one of the regulatory subunits and can be phosphorylated by the catalytic subunit. It interacts with and suppresses CREB1 transcriptional activity in activated T cells. Knockout studies in mice indicate roles in energy balance, adiposity regulation, and haloperidol-induced gene induction and cataleptic behavior.
