Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Superior specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

Adipocyte differentiation-related protein (ADFP, also known as Adipophilin) is a major component of milk lipid globule surface membranes in humans, cows, and rats. It is part of a detergent-insoluble complex containing butyrophilin and xanthine oxidase.
ADFP is expressed in various cultured cell lines (fibroblasts, endothelial, epithelial cells) and specific tissue cell types such as lactating mammary epithelial cells, adrenal cortex cells, Sertoli and Leydig cells, and hepatocytes in fatty liver conditions.
ADFP serves as a potential marker for identifying specialized differentiated cells containing lipid droplets and for studying diseases associated with fat-accumulating cells.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
