Target Information
The TEAD4 gene encodes a transcriptional enhancer factor (TEF) family protein containing the TEA/ATTS DNA-binding domain. It is preferentially expressed in skeletal muscle and binds to the M-CAT regulatory element in muscle-specific gene promoters to regulate gene expression.
Alternative splicing generates distinct isoforms, some translated via non-AUG (UUG) initiation codons.
